Today i was able to get started on my portfolio project which consists of my abilities in creating and expressing my recent technological achievements through the mac computer. With dream weavers amazing ability to help me make a website I was able to get started and make exceptional product that displayed my academic endeavors throughout the term.

1. What is photoshop? A digital image editing application on the computer. 

2. What is a PSA? It is a public service announcement. 

3. What is a typography? The art or process of setting and arranging types and printing from them.


4. What is keynote? It is a program for a Mac which is equivalent to a power point for pc's. 


5. What is a PDF? It is a Portable Document Format that contains everything in it. 

flash project

Today i was able to get pretty far in my character/ animation project in flash. I drew my character and added frames and motion Tweens in order to make it so that my character lets go of a pear with strawberry juice to the floor.

Today I kept on working on adobe flash in order to create an animation of anything. Flash is one of those programs that dosent really interest me, but o far i am able to create shapes for my character.

Psa Project

Today we got a design cycle journal sheet in which we would answer some questions regarding psa's and what we were going to do for our group project. The other thing that we talked about was what we were doing for our project and the different things that we had to do in order to start the project and finish it. Next week we will be getting the videocameras to do the project with, but for now we need to have a solid plan in order to do this project first.

Todays blog

Today I saw public service announcements commercials, psa's. I watched some really exaggerated psa's concerning drunk driving and drunk texting driving. After watching these videos we had a project that we started which involved groups of 3 and making our own psa.

Todays work

Today I was able to finish my humanitarian poster about pandas. It took me about a week to finish both my movie poster and my humanitarian poster as well. I worked hard and made it look as best as I could. All of my things that i did so far have been uploaded to my blog and I am finished.

Today's Work

Today I started on the next project in rome which is to create two posters, one about a fictional movies not created yet and a humanitarian or environmental effort. I started on the movie poster first since it was the easiest one for me. I was able to get really far into to all I need to do is add a bit more info on it and it'll be done

Today

Today I finished the wiki article with everything I had to do. I started working on the adoble rome project which seemed really easy. I found out how to add text and how to change colors on the page.

Daily Taco

Today I started working on my wiki article online. I logged in and started a blank page and added all of my information making it look like the articles shown in wikipedia. I was really getting into it, its very cool how you can create wikipedia look alike articles and post them online. The last minutes in class we watched about 5 presentations relating to web 2.0 tools which were really fast and simple.

Today

Today I checked the blog to see what we had to do. Today we were assigned a mini keynote project that has something to do with typography and literature. I wasn't so sure what it meant even after checking the example and the books online. I was a bit confused but i tried my best in order to start on it.

Today I worked on the 3d cooloris wall where you can put pictures on a "wall" and you can move them like the ipod cover flow. After that I did an activity in which you have to identify 11 things on a picture related to technology and tell wether they are inputs or outputs, it was really easy. I couldn't really take the surveys for the people that presented last time because they haven't put on their surveys on their blogs. But overall I got a lot completed.

   This Web 2.0 Tool that helps you research different kinds of symptoms throughout the human body and gives you helpful information, as well as professional, on how to cure the specific symptom. It offers specific symptoms and broad symptoms, its very useful because it gives you a sense of good health and overall well being, you then become a little bit more cautious of your health.
   This tool allows you to access different parts of the human body and lets you search up the different symptoms that the specific part has. It gives you an image in which you can also see how that symptoms looks like and what it does to that part if left untreated, as well as when that part is healthy, when its cured. Its very professional and it also gives a written explanation on what the symptom is and how to go about treating it.
   Although it gives very good information for many symptoms there is information that is sometimes too broad and with little or no info whatsoever. There is no 3D model in which the student can see the whole human body and deepen its knowledge and curiosity about it and the symptoms.
   This can help students in the field of medicine and help them understand what kinds of symptoms there are in the human body and what to do if any of those symptoms appear on them or on anyone else and how to treat them. It helps them maintain a basic and at one point stronger understanding of the symptoms and the medicine or the treatment that is being used.
   In conclusion med-gle is a very healthy friendly web 2.0 tool in which you can benefit from. Try it.

Today's world

Today I read and article with my partner big D how an army general got fired due to his outburst about power point in the army and how it isn't useful. After doing this I worked on my web 2.0 tool presentation and was able to finish 4 more slides.

Today we watched some videos about power point in lynda.com. After that I started working on keynote and made 3 slides talking about my web 2.0 tool called med-gle. I learned how to use keynote more efficiently and would like to keep on working with more presentations with it.

Today

Today we watched a slideshow called 'Death by Powerpoint' which showed problems and solutions to one of the popular applications in p.c's, the powerpoint. I strongly disagreed with many of the problems that were presented, i think it was because i use power point a lot and really like it. After that we got to experiment with keypad which is the power pint application to macs. I really liked keypad a lot better than power point, its much more professional and lets you do more things than in power point. You have more slides to choose from and backgrounds, as well as having more amazing transitions. I really like it.

Problems with PowerPoint

Power point, like any other application, has its problems. Some problems with power point is the text distortion, there are times when what you write and the way it looks in the slide just looks really bad with very different mutated text. When you have music in your power point it is very common for it to play when you email the presentation to someone. There are changes in fonts when you open your power point presentation in a different computer. During a power point the pointer can at times distract the audience if it is used, so in order to get around this you always have to learn how to change slides without the mouse. If you stay on a slide too long it will commonly black out just like the monitor on a p.c.. Some solutions for some of the common problems are changing the file format, not adding too many pictures on a presentation, and  it supports many different multi-media files that can help with adding videos on the slides.
